The Good Kind Of Busy

The past few days have been a bit of a whirlwind, very full and very busy. This has included an early morning session with a new client on Saturday, an overnight trip to Dangriga for an event with a lesbian and bisexual women’s organization, rehearsing for the upcoming show this weekend, and buying furniture for the apartment. All of these are good things. The event in Dangriga, about the intersections between gender-based violence and HIV, was a great experience, it was wonderful to meet and talk with folks, and the night went on until 4 a.m. with karaoke, dancing, and general shenanigans. The performance art show is coming along, and I’m learning so much from the process. And getting more settled in our home is feeling awesome. After a period of things not quite coming together, I am really glad to be doing what matters to me – mental health and healing work, making art, and taking care of home. I’m also still doing my daily yoga practice (Day 47, y’all!). Life is very robust right now and I am thankful.

With that being said, I am also looking forward to having time to relax again, and am fondly remembering being on the front porch of our little rental in Caye Caulker, looking out at the sea…

Soon come. For now, it feels good to be busy.
