Wrap It Up, B: Shifting Into A New Season

All around me shifts are happening. High season is coming here in Belize, and shops and restaurants around San Ignacio are preparing for the influx of tourists. It’s also still rainy season and we’ve been getting more regular showers throughout the day. The humidity is in full effect, the nights are cooler, and the days are starting to feel shorter as darkness creeps into the evenings a little bit earlier than before. The Audacity To Create: On ‘Big Magic’ & Likeability

Big Magic: Creative Living Beyond Fear was on my reading list since its release in September, and after finally getting my hands on a borrowed copy, I finished it today. It took months for me to get through. I admit I had some expectations about it, and hoped it would be inspiring. Filling The Well: The Space To Create

It’s been a quiet, grey day – the sky thick with clouds, periods of rain and wind whipping through the palms, and a choppy, restless sea. I’ve spent much of the day on the balcony, watching the water. We extended our stay in Caye Caulker, and I am feeling fully settled in this place. It has been wonderful to be by the sea, to swim, to relax. It has also been great to have long stretches of time spread wide open before me, with nothing to do and nowhere to go.
