How To Let Go: Full Moon In Virgo

For the past two days I’ve been making big pots of curry. Everything gets chopped up on the wooden cutting board and separated into bowls on the kitchen counter – garlic and ginger, onions and peppers, potatoes, eggplant, carrots, cabbage. The aromatics are sautéed in olive oil with sea salt, black pepper, turmeric, cardamom and curry powders. Slowly, mindfully, methodically. The concrete brings comfort.  Continue reading “How To Let Go: Full Moon In Virgo”

Holding, Healing, Releasing: Full Moon In Taurus

I spent the weekend at home writing a research report about the needs of lesbian and bisexual women in Belize. It took a tremendous amount of effort. It was quiet, just me and the night sky, and I released the balloons one at a time, watching them float slowly away, into the beyond. It’s been a quiet week. I’m feeling the effects of Mars retrograde that started on Sunday. As the planet of drive and desire has slowed and changed direction, I’ve shifted my awareness inward to how I’m driving and directing Mars energy in my life. After a few weeks of being really focused on following through with work projects and partnerships, I welcome a bit of space to reset and reflect.
