tarot cardsI’ve been getting up in that tarot this week. First, a birthday reading to get some inspiration about where I am in my life right now at forty years old. Then, a reading this morning for the new moon solar eclipse. The cards are speaking to me. A lot of major arcana coming up, deep and soulful ones like Death and the Hanged Man. Legacy/Love at LAB3

I performed this week in LAB3 at the Image Factory Art Foundation in Belize City.  The LAB is a two-week experimental art project in the gallery curated by Kate Numi Usher, where artists create work in the space for display or performance within a 48-hour period. Water, Water Everywhere: Yemaya, The Sea & Me

Last night I dreamed of a calm, vast, turquoise sea and the biggest swimming pool I’ve ever seen, deep and sparkling. Water has been all up in my dreams and life lately, presenting itself in my conscious and subconscious spaces. I welcome this reflection of my internal process and the symbolism I’m drawing in – cleansing, renewal, deepening my intuition and connection to spirit. Wilderness

One of the things I love about Belize is that just steps away from concrete there is jungle. I live in a small town surrounded by it and don’t have to walk very far to see stretches of land, unmanaged and unmaintained. It’s true that there are more buildings going up, even in the short time that I’ve lived here. And even still, so much of the land in Cayo is lush and green. Continue reading “Wilderness”
